John Tonje made his Summer League debut for Utah and finished with 16 points and four three-pointers. The 24-year-old rookie shined at Wisconsin last season and could be an NBA-ready scoring option for the Jazz this year, though the amount of depth Utah has will make it difficult for him to earn minutes.
Dylan Harper and the San Antonio Spurs won the best game of the Las Vegas Summer League in overtime over the Utah Jazz.
Standing 6-foot-11, Filipowski is a talented scorer who can get buckets from the perimeter and at the post. He's not known for his athleticism, but Filipowski can surprise defenders with his decent ballhandling for a big man and quickness to the basket, as evidenced by his game-tying dunk off the dribble late in overtime of the Spurs game.
Instead, it was Riley Minix who called game on the other end. Minix caught an inbounds pass and hit a fadeaway contested bucket from the short corner to lift the Spurs to the win, which sparked a huge celebration on the floor in Las Vegas.
