Barcelona abandoned their plan to return to their Camp Nou home in August on Friday, pushing the stadium's re-opening back further.The club initially planned to return to the Camp Nou in November 2024 to mark the club's 125th anniversary but the stadium opening has been repeatedly delayed.

Barcelona have now formally walked back on their plan to return to Camp Nou next month, with no new timeframe given. “FC Barcelona hereby announces the suspension of the first match scheduled to take place at the revamped Spotify Camp Nou, which was set to coincide with the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 10,” a statement read.

Barcelona 's planned return to Spotify Camp Nou next month was again delayed, and the Aug. 10 Joan Gamper Trophy will be played at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, the club announced on Friday.
