Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride has been named to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, replacing injured Atlanta Dream star Rhyne Howard just four days before tipoff. McBride will join Team Collier, which will face off against Team Clark this Saturday, July 19, in Indianapolis.
During Indiana's victory over the Dallas Wings on Sunday, Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 150 three-pointers, achieving this feat in just 52 games. The record was previously held by Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard, who set the record in 57 games back in 2023.
Sabreena Merchant and Ben Pickman of The Athletic shared the results of an anonymous WNBA player's poll Monday, and the Phoenix Mercury star was named the biggest trash talker in the league.
Even with that growth, WNBA legend Candace Parker says Clark isn’t quite at the top just yet. Parker recently appeared on Complex Sports to rank current WNBA players using a tier system. When it came time to name her “S-tier” players, the league’s absolute best, she chose three standouts without hesitation.
USA TODAY sports columnist Christine Brennan chronicles the explosive growth of Caitlin Clark's popularity in her new book "On Her Game."
With the 2025 WNBA All-Star game taking place this Saturday, teams are looking to make a strong final push before the midway point of the season. A huge matchup to watch will be between the Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night. Tensions flared the last time these two teams met.
Fever coach Stephanie White expressed no reason to press the panic button for Clark, who averages 16.7 points per game and has not scored more than 14 points in the three games since her injury return.
