Spin-bowling allrounder Liam Dawson is in line to make a Test comeback after eight years after he was added to the England squad for the fourth Test against India, starting on July 23 at Old Trafford.

England have called up Liam Dawson to replace Shoaib Bashir in their squad for the fourth Test against India. Bashir has been ruled out of the rest of the series after suffering a broken finger on his left hand when attempting a catch off his own bowling in the dramatic third Test win at Lord’s.

The 35-year-old played the most recent of his three Tests against South Africa in 2017 but comes in for the injured Shoaib Bashir
