ST. LOUIS — Ian Happ hit a leadoff home run and drove in three, Matthew Boyd gave up three hits in six scoreless innings Wednesday night and the Chicago Cubs beat the St. Louis Cardinals 8-0.

All of that added up to an 8-0 Cubs shutout of the Cardinals, ending the team’s three-game losing streak. The Cubs remain the only team in MLB this year to have not lost four in a row at least once.
